Thomas E. Newbold, PE CEM CGD LEED
Principal

Tom is a founding member of the LFG from its inception in 1988. He holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science from Washington University. He is a licensed professional engineer in 23 states.

Tom has over 35 years of engineering experience and shares this knowledge throughout the firm. He is especially adept at all aspects of HVAC controls including hardware, software and coding.

Tom is an active member of the Association of Preservation Technologists and participates in many of their sanctioned events. As a Certified Geothermal system Designer, he has taught several classes on the subject and utilizes this technology in his own home.

Tom is a resident of Trumbull, CT where he resides with his wife and two dogs.

Eleanor Lynn, PE
Principal

Eleanor has fulfilled the role of lead electrical engineer for over two decades at LFG. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is a licensed professional engineer in four states.

Eleanor has provided efficient and strategic electrical design solutions for a wide range of building types from historic to commercial. She is proficient in fire alarm design keeping up with innovative technology and code changes and is an active member of the New York Fire Alarm Association.

Eleanor is a resident of Easton, CT where she resides with her husband and two children.

Richard A. Sileo, PE
Principal

Rich has provided mechanical system design and project management duties at LFG for nearly 15 years. He relishes the opportunity to work in historic and treasured buildings such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Old State House on the Freedom Trail in Boston.

Rich made his foray into consulting engineering by way of HVAC technical sales, where he first gained an understanding of heating and cooling systems. He is adept at design of systems that range from campus-wide hydronic distribution to split climate-control systems for small historic homes. He is a proponent of open source, non-proprietary DDC systems for facilities in which he works.

Rich enjoys the human interaction involved in maintaining strong relationships with architects, facility operators, contractors and his peers.

Rich is a resident of Westport, CT where he resides with his wife and son.
