Landmark Facilities Group, Inc., is a professional engineering firm, which focuses its services on the special needs of schools, libraries, campus settings, and their administration. The staff has a special capability in environmental air quality controls and is well acquainted with facilities where the needs of performance, comfort, and cost economics are the governing priorities. The firm provides full engineering services including: testing, environmental analysis assessments, long-range planning, systems design, construction support, and operations training. Our services are offered in the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, environmental, plumbing, fire protection and lighting.

Emerging Technologies

The firm has been a proactive leader in the discipline of indoor air quality and mold prevention. The firm co-authored the 1999 ASHRAE Handbook Chapter 20, which is a guide for designing libraries and archives. Key staff personnel are voting members of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 (energy conservation) and members of the National Archives and Records Administration Advisory Committee on Preservation. The firm also co-authored the N1S0 Guideline for Archival Storage criteria.

Project performance history

Our recent completion of implementing climate control systems for the President’s residence at Columbia University, is testament to our commitment to best quality design and construction support. This project also demonstrates our continuing support to the owner, to ensure proper commissioning of all systems on the owner's behalf.

Being primarily an engineering design firm, Landmark Facilities Group, Inc. produces AutoCAD drawings using the latest software available. Our specifications for projects are tailored to the design criteria established by the design team, and on larger projects, the three-part format and CSI protocol is used.

Since incorporation under the name of Landmark Facilities Group, Inc. in 1988 we have served over 500 clients and their satisfaction has produced our growth.

Organization

Landmark Facilities Group was incorporated as a type C Corporation in April 1988. It was founded by a group of professional engineers who had been long time colleagues and are dedicated to preservation excellence. Landmark Facilities Group is a small-sized firm currently employing 30 personnel. Most of the engineering staff are professionally licensed engineers representing over 20 states.

The firm is organized in a structure which consists of three owner employees that form the board of directors. Project teams are lead by Principals of the firm, yielding a capability to perform multiple projects in parallel. No project is too big or too small.

Landmark Facilities Group, Inc. is located in Norwalk, Connecticut. The location has been specifically selected to be within walking distance to the Amtrak rail network and close to major airports. This allows efficient travel to serve our clients nationwide. Our services have been provided all over the United States and Canada. We are accustomed to design work for clients, which are at a distance from our offices.

The firm is fully equipped with all the latest CAD workstation arrangements and is electronically within instant contact anywhere through fax, modem and Internet interfaces. Our modem capabilities include remote diagnostic access to most of the HVAC systems, which we have designed over the past ten years.
